Front Cover 1
I started of making my front cover by putting in some of the items that I said that I would use.
The colours looked all over the place and i decided that the background didn't work as it made it look to busy.
I then started to play around with the colours and added in an extra story.
To make the picture add in with the title, I then decided to make some weighing scales and put school and music on either side for effect.
once again I decided that the title still wasn't right and it didn't stand out enough. To make it stand out better I made the outline thicker.
I didn't really think that the extra story was going to work on the front cover so I took it out and changed it for a free poster inside.
I also didn't think that the two colours was working as it looked to busy. So I changed it back to just red and white with a little yellow.
When I showed my front cover to some friends they said that they could tell that the school and music was part of the main story title. So I decided to change it to the same font, size and colour to make it more recognisable as part of the title.
Finally when I came back to look at it for the last time I realised that I had forgotten to put in the bar code, price and date. Once I had made the bar code, price and date I put it in the bottom right hand corner where I said I would in the spare gap.
The last thing that I added in was the background because when I tried it with one I decided that it looked better and made everything else on the page stand out more.
I like the colour theme and the images on this front cover, they fit in well with our age range and are very exciting. Also i like the layout how the image overlaps the title and there it lots of information down the sides. It does like wquite profesional but i think the fonts are quite basic which makes it harder to relate to a real product. Over all i like this page and i think it would look good as a final product if the fonts were maybe changed. -Ollie James
